Dr. Min-Hsiung Pan, a Distinguished Professor at the Institute of Food Science and Technology at National Taiwan University, holds multiple positions including institute director and director of the NTU experimental farm. His research philosophy is based on the idea that “The ancients were good doctors, the upper doctors treat diseases before they occur, the middle doctors treat diseases that are about to occur, and the lower doctors treat diseases that have already occurred.”
For many years, Dr. Pan has dedicated himself to studying the application of natural products in preventive medicine. His research focuses on understanding and preventing various diseases such as colitis, colorectal cancer, skin cancer, liver fibrosis, obesity, and aging. He also explores the possible intervention timing and related mechanisms of different natural products. Dr. Pan has published 325 academic papers in the field of natural substances and chemical prevention of diseases.

Dr. Laura Gabriela SARBU is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. She received a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry in 2015. During the Ph.D. program she joined several times the Prof. dr. Henning Hopf research team in TU Braunschweig – Germany. She has more than 45 publications in peer-review journals and published 4 books. Also, is editorial board member in several journals such as Advance in Medical and Clinical Research, Annals of Clinical and Laboratory Recerca, Chemical Glycobiology Journal, International Journal Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, Journal of Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences - Green Chemistry, Journal of Clinical Research and Reports, Journal of Molecular Biology and Drug Design, International Journal of Biochemistry and Pharmacology, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Pharmacy.

Professor Chung was a King Edward VII scholar graduated from The University of Hong Kong.  During his student years, he was an active member of the St John’s College; he also served firstly as Sports Captain, then later as Chairperson of the Medical Society. His training started from Paediatrics and later became a specialist in Community Medicine, with two gold medals awarded for the “Prize for Best Original Research by Trainees (BORT)” of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He is an experienced trainer and examiner for the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine and the UK Faculty of Public Health. One of his main focuses is in the infectious disease area.  He had hands-on experiences from the Hong Kong Department of Health and the World Health Organization in Geneva. He seated the first cohort of the Field Epidemiology Training Programme in Hong Kong and the planning team for drills related to outbreaks and the Public Health Information System.   He served actively in the faculty’s front-line work at the two Community Isolation Facilities during the fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before returning to HKU, he was in The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was elected as the Teacher of the Year Award (Public Health) in the year 2020 and 2021.

Axel was born in Berlin/Germany and educated at Free University and Humboldt University. He subsequently studied at Aberdeen University and the University of Wales. He settled in South Wales in 1996 and currently lives in Liverpool. Axel is Professor of Health Service Research at Edge Hill University Medical School, Director of the Evaluation and Policy Analysis unit (EPA) and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Integrated Care and the Journal of Health Organization and Management. Axel is also Visiting Professor at the Department of Health and Social Management at the University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio. He is member of the Advisory Panel of the Leadership Observatory NHS England and appointed Govenor of the Wrightingon, Wigan and Leigh NHS Hospital Foundation Trust. Axel has designed and delivered evaluations of health improvement programmes in England and Wales and has worked on projects commissioned by NHS England, the Health Research Authority (HRA) and regional health care providers.

Professor Dr. Hematram Yadav is currently the Executive Dean of the Medical Faculty of City University in Malaysia. He was the former Head of Family Health Development Division, Ministry of Health in Malaysia. He later joined University Malaya as head of Family Health Division in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine. He also worked in International Medical University (IMU) as the head of Community Medicine in finally in MAHSA University, Kuala Lumpur
He received his basic medical degree (MBBS) from University of Kerala, India and went on to do his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from University Malaya and MBA from Boston University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (FAMM) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Health (FRSH) of UK.  He has more than 45 years of Public Health experience both locally and internationally. He worked as a consultant with WHO, UNICEF and InDevelop in more than twenty countries mainly in the Western Pacific Region in areas such as Primary Health Care, Maternal and Child Health Care, and Health Services Management.
He has published more than 120 scientific and technical papers in both the local and international journals and has authored 11 books in the area of public health and nursing. During his career in Ministry of Health he served as the Chairman of the Reproductive Health Meeting organized by the Family Health Division in World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva, and also as Vice-Chairman of the Members of Interested Parties (MIP) Meeting in WHO Headquarters as well.
Currently he is the chairman of the International Conference of Public Health (ICOPH) and he also serves on several editorial boards of International Medical Journals and has also participated in several research projects. His current research interest is on maternal mortality, birth weight of infants and primary health care management. For his work and dedication, he received several awards from the Government of Malaysia and from the various Malaysian Universities. He is a recipient of the prestigious Hind Rattan Award from the NRI Welfare Society of India and also listed in the Marquis WHOs Who in the World since 1997.
