Dr. Min-Hsiung Pan, a Distinguished Professor at the Institute of
Food Science and Technology at National Taiwan University, holds multiple
positions including institute director and director of the NTU experimental
farm. His research philosophy is based on the idea that “The ancients were good
doctors, the upper doctors treat diseases before they occur, the middle doctors
treat diseases that are about to occur, and the lower doctors treat diseases
that have already occurred.”
For many years, Dr. Pan has dedicated himself to studying the application of
natural products in preventive medicine. His research focuses on understanding
and preventing various diseases such as colitis, colorectal cancer, skin
cancer, liver fibrosis, obesity, and aging. He also explores the possible
intervention timing and related mechanisms of different natural products. Dr.
Pan has published 325 academic papers in the field of natural substances and
chemical prevention of diseases.
